AUGUST 2025 WBA WMU NEWS UPDATE
August is a time of the year to reflect. We are closing on the present year of WMU, and we are about to go into the year 2025-26. We should reflect on our accomplishments and set goals for missed opportunities. We should have leaders in place for the coming year and if they are new to the position they will have the opportunity to have been trained and have the proper tools for the tasks ahead in the coming year. MISSIONS LEADER a WMU Planning Guide 2025-26 has information in it about each mission group and gives instructions for all the materials needed to guide each group for the coming year.
The WMU emphasis for 2024-2026 is WHAT JOY! Remember the Objectives for WMU are:
We are passionate about the lost. We are compelled by love. We are generous about sharing.
We serve with great delight (joy). WATCHWORD: Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well 1Thessalonians 2:8.
WMU MANDATE: Making disciples of Jesus who live on mission. WMU Missional
Characteristics: Learn about missions.: Pray for missions.: Support missions.: Do missions and tell about Jesus. WMU: God’s mission. Our passion.
Summer at Camp LaVida was another wonderful year of memorial experiences and making new connections and connecting with old friends from past years of attending summer camp.
Camp Lavida is SCWMU’s Christian camp for girls attending school in the 1st grade - 12th grade. They can attend camp during the summer months of June - July. For checking out dates and availability for next year you can soon go to camplavida.org.

JULY 2025 WBA WMU NEWS UPDATE
Welcome to the full experience of the summer season. The month of June has passed at Camp LaVida as campers have had the experience of a lifetime. God is working in their lives as they are having the opportunities of hearing the experiences of missionaries as they were on missions sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ all around the world. The campers are making new relationships with new friends and maybe seeing old friends they had made in years past. Thank you to all churches who are sending girls to Camp LaVida to enrich their lives as they have the opportunity to experience God’s gift of nature and hear about His unending love. During this time their lives are brought closer to God and they have life changing experiences.
July is the month we hold our WBA WMU Leadership Training to assist WMU Leaderswith ideas and help to grow and develop your leadership team for adults, youth and children. Mark your calendar for July 28, 2025. The meeting will be held at North Conway Baptist Church, 1608 Sessions St, Conway 29526, 5:30-8:00pm.
