Mobilizing for Missions

At the Waccamaw Baptist Association, we are passionate about mobilizing our churches to serve both across the street and around the world. We believe every congregation, regardless of size or location, has a vital role to play in taking the gospel to their neighbors and the nations. By fostering strong partnerships within our association and with trusted ministry organizations, we help churches join together in ways that multiply their impact. These partnerships allow us to share resources, combine strengths, and accomplish far more collectively than any church could do alone.

To further equip our churches, the WBA provides support through vision trips, mission opportunities, and strategic planning that help leaders see firsthand the needs and possibilities in various communities. From local outreach initiatives to international mission fields, we walk alongside churches as they discern where God is calling them to serve. Whether it’s connecting them with mission partners, helping form mission teams, or offering training and logistical assistance, our goal is to empower churches to live on mission with clarity, confidence, and unity. Through this shared effort, we see lives transformed and the gospel advanced—near and far.

If you have any questions about the mission opportunities below, please reach out to Kevin Cabe in our office or by email at kevin@wbasc.org

South Dakota Vision Trip

Rapid City, South Dakota Vision Trip
March 25-27, 2026
Trip Leader: Kevin Cabe

Deadline to Register: February 1

Join the WBA on a vision trip to South Dakota in partnership with the North American Mission Board. This trip offers pastors and mission leaders a firsthand look at the incredible gospel opportunities in the Rapid City and Black Hills region. This trip is designed to help leaders see, hear, and experience the unique spiritual landscape of the area, where church planting is vital to reaching growing communities and underserved populations. As you connect with planters and local leaders, you’ll discover the urgent need for strong partnerships—prayerfully, relationally, and strategically—to support the church planting movement in this region. By coming alongside what God is already doing in Rapid City and the Black Hills, pastors and mission leaders can help strengthen new churches, encourage planters, and play a meaningful role in expanding gospel presence across western South Dakota.

Come Go with Us- Zambia

Zambia 2026
July 9-22
Team Leader - Ronny Byrd

Deadline to join is Janaury 31st.

Over 100 Pastors need training for shepherding God's church in Zambia. Most of these pastors have no formal training. They are subjected to false teaching and need to be able to break away from the "prosperity gospel" influences that flood their country. They need to learn to lead with humility, holiness, solid exegetical preparation, and presentation of the gospel, and relevent application of the Scriptures to everyday life. Zambia is open for the gospel and it is safer enter and share the gospel their than in our state. People are hungry for the truth.

Will you pray about joining this team?
